Meeting Notes

Inscript updates

• include OM in different keymaps (probably assign to key '3' )
• include gujarati rupee sign ( probably on key '$' )
• assign ZWNJ to '9' , ZWJ to '0' for keymaps - guj, gur, ori, tel, tml, kan
  • bengali probhat, malayalam already have it.
  • devanagari has it on space (3rd, 4th levels)
  • bolnagri has it on Q

Input Methods Docs

• Document each input method, with its layout and links to upstream sources
• keyboard images for each mapping

Font Testing

• Test data in the following form
  • CV, CC, CCC, CVM, CCV etc combinations which are practically used.
  • Sample words for each conjunct combination
  • Typographical variants (where rendering of glyph can be in two or more acceptable forms)
  • Asthetic cases - eg नूपुर - where some combinations look odd when displayed (glyphs being too close/far, improperly placed etc)
• Automatic generation of image/PDF from sample text using rendering backends (Pango, ICU, Qt, Harfbuzz etc)

Collation

• Taking sample unicode collation [1] make tables for all languages
• Current data compiled at CollationData
